The System Admin tab is where the administrator performs most of the administration tasks in AssetWise.

To open the System Admin tab, select View > System Administration.

The System Admin tab typically opens within the navigation area. For example, if the Search and Explore tabs are open and docked to the navigation area, then when you open the System Admin tab, it will also be grouped with the other tabbed panes in the navigation area.

Across the top of the System Admin tab are several icons which you can click to get to the different administration areas:

• Information Modeling
• Security
• Maintain List Values
• System Defaults
• File Plans

To the right of the icons is a scope selector that you can use to set the default scope. While the active scopes can only be set through the status bar, you can set the default scope either through the status bar or through the scope selector here on the System Admin tab. The effect is the same.
